Villa nigrifrons belongs to the subfamily Anthracinae.
Distribution:
Canary Islands (endemic species).
Note:
Villa nigrifrons is the most common species of the genus in the Canary Islands. Two other species (
Villa albiventris and
Villa nigriceps) have not been found on Fuerteventura, but only on the other islands.
For a reliable species identification the study of male genitalia is essential.
