Europe

Forest edges, sunny clearings, grassland, gardens, parks - mostly on ground-ivy.
Description:
Length 6.0 - 10.0 mm; body black-blue or reddish violet; pronotum and elytra on the upper side finely dotted, pronotum rounded forward on the sides; legs predominantly metallic violet, only the tarsi brown; base of the antennae and palpi brown.
The males are considerably smaller than the females and have strongly widened tarsi.
